It looks like it has "torpedoes" on the edges

Differences seem to be holes where 4 pieces meet, torpedoes type structures (like the 6.0 and 6.2) and what appear to be over engineered pieces again.
I say over engineered because the original pieces were fairly basic and the 2 successors have had increasingly complicated pieces with terrible results.
