how long did mike's solve time take?? and does someone know why chris hardwick does not participate in multibld??

It's been posted elsewhere that my 15/15 was 2 hours 12 minutes. I think it was about 1:30 memorization time, so around 40 minutes solving time. I can't believe how slow I was solving on the video - it looked painfully slow. But I guess I was trying to be particularly careful.

Right before I started, Chris told me he had been thinking about actually trying multiBLD for this competition, but finally decided against it. I think he wanted to concentrate on big cubes BLD instead. But I suspect that means he has at least thought about how to handle multiBLD a bit - Chris usually doesn't say something like that without having done at least some preparation.

Chris has been practicing really hard on the BH method for big cubes; I really think we're going to eventually see some amazing times from him if he can cut down on the DNFs. I think he must be DNFing more because of the new method - his accuracy has gone way down in the last 2 competitions. Once he gets used to it, I bet his accuracy will go back up and he'll be pretty unstoppable again.

such attempts by guys like you and chris and mondo and rowe and tim and a lot of other BLD cubers makes me appreciate BLD more.. the preparation and mind set , the focus... Amazing stuff...

and about Chris, after seeing his pic on speedcubing with that 6x6(i was just starting to cube then), the first impression i got was that he'd be good at anything BLD until I looked into his profile...i always thought he was great with multi....

Actually, Hadley, I'd be more interested in the 2x2 part of the awards ceremony, since Lars posted the video of all the finals solves.
