Cubing Club?

I like regular LBL better because the algs are some of the easiest to learn, and it gives a better basis to learn CFOP.

At my school, we attract quite a few people to cubing club at the start of each year, I don't attempt to actually teach them though, I provide them with solution guides and help if they need it and let them learn themselves, and many do, I have some advice on my website about starting cubing clubs:

At my school we have to charge for clubs. The school gets a cut, and I get a cut, but mostly just for supplies. Besides at the end of the term I'm gonna ask the really dedicated kids if they want a speedcube, and if they can solve 3x3 in 2 mins, I'm gonna use my own profit to by them a cube of their choice.
I wanna be in that club and ask for the XS hehe. I'm joking, gl on your club

I'm in middle school and I want to start a cubing club after coronavirus. I wanna teach kids 2 to 3 puzzles in 8 weeks. We'll meet once a week for 8 weeks straight. Which puzzles and how many? (3 by 3 is a given, what about the other 1/2 puzzles). Also, what should I do about memorising algorithms?

Advice much appreciated.
i wrote pictures of what the algs would do, where to do algs, the alg itself, came up with names for algs, made them do lots of repeat, gave lots of practice time in between meetings, and everyone i taught was able to solve if they kept at it
