this makes me very happy

That’s just you, though. Despite being good at it, I find math extremely boring and tedious
I also find high school math (and earlier) to be tedious. Really, math is not too interesting if are just plugging and chugging numbers into equations. I was considering to be a CS major. But I'm a math major now. It's purely because I discovered how fascinating math is during my own study. I never thought it was worth the time to learn math at primary/secondary school and skipped basically all of it--schools do a terrible job at inspiring students to actually like math and most students in the states never even get to learn calculus, the first "actually interesting" subject

Uh… I did some calculus. It’s very boring

My opinion might not matter too much here because I was homeschooled, but I would like to add to this a little. I do agree that public schools do a terrible job inspiring students to like math. And I think a way that can be fixed is just by changing how math is viewed. I believe is just way of thinking. It's thinking with numbers. Math is literally the building blocks to understand many things. Much of what we understand in science is proven with math! I know there are still people who will hate or not enjoy math, but the way I see it (as a cuber) is that math is the algorithm of everything. Math, to some degree is a Rubik's cubes. We consider a Rubik's Cube a twisty puzzle; math is a puzzle with twist and turns that are fun to explore and solve. And what parts of math hasn't been proven or solved yet, our generation gets the honor of solving! In my honest opinion, math is one of the most interesting and enjoyable things to learn and explore. And if you don't feel the same, that's okay. Everyone has different interest.
Anyway, hope my little ramble made any sense.
If this didn't make any sense, I blame my lack of sleep. lol

I also was homeschooled, but precisely because the math curricula at public schools around me were so terrible and my curiosity was actively stymied by the American education system. Really, math is the most delicate of all of the academic subjects.

Honestly. I have to use calculus in Physics all the time. I’m not very good with applying the math though.
