Really nice video idea by CubeHead. I've been waiting for a cross bootcamp for a long time

I got the optimal crosses of level 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and suboptimal on 3 and 6, but I took longer than 15 sec. Totally failed for 8, 9, 10.

12 points but since I took extra time I'll put myself at cross trainee

Fun exercise! I got 17 points. Got solutions 1 move slower on 7, 8, and 9, and I was pleased to get 10. On 10, it looked straightforward to solve the opposite cross edges in pairs, and luckily that was an optimal solution.

I got 16-18 - there were 2 in the middle that I got last second. It was a fun exercise. Personally, I don't usually look for move optimal cross solution, I tend towards certain types of solutions that make it easier for me to look ahead further into the solve. On the harder ones, I usually saw a 9-10 move solution pretty quick, which is often when I would stop looking in a real solve (so I have time to predict the first pair), so it was hard for me to focus and look for better solutions.

Yeah for me there's not a big difference between a 7 and 8 move solution. But there is a big difference between 6 and 8.

However, I think it probably should also be mentioned that movecount is not the only thing in a cross solution that matters. The best examples in this scramble set would probably be level 2, where z2 F R2 F R leaves you with a free pair, level 4, where you should probably do L2 before the last two moves, and level 6, where z2 L' R' F' B' U' R' F D2 is an x-cross.'

Like maybe a 5? idk I usually do 2x2 & 4x4, but 2x2 more, it's less stressful... for me at least.

i think if you can do a 7 cross solution into a three mover it is better than a 6 move cross into a 5 move pair. dylan miller said something about this and i agree with him. Also you can find x-crosses which is obviously better

I barely got cross master, with a 17. I got 1-5, got 1 move extra on 6 7 and 8, and got 9 and 10
