Cube water damage

I took my Alpha II underwater. In a pool.

that should explain everything. I dried it and lubed it (in hopes the water had only removed lubrication).

Now it doesn't make that much noise anymore, and it doesn't corner cut as well as before.

Any suggestions as to what I should do? I don't really want to throw the cube away D:

I took my YJ underwater and nothing really happened. (except that the lube did come off) try solving it for a while; you should be able to break it in.

did you lube it before you broke it in, after you had put it in the water?

It would mainly be the core, check the core for any spots of water and check screws for rust. If there is water near the core take the screws out and let it dry. Thats the only thing I could think of that would affect corner cutting.
