Cross

I looked at Dan Harris' site for help. Also, work on doing the cross BLD. It forces you to plan out the entire sequence before hand. Just make sure that you are keeping you're looking under 15s.

make sure you know the colour scheme well.. so you know where the pieces belong in relation to each other. and what i try to do usually is to make use of moves to insert the correctly-flipped cross pieces into D-layer where i form the cross, to correct the flip of the wrongly-flipped pieces, which kinda saves moves.

my advice would be for you not to concentrate on cross too much... I find that its something that comes almost as if by itself with experience. If you average 27 seconds as it says in your signature, I think you should concentrate on F2L much more... biggest improvements come from mastering that stage, at least from my experience. OLL/PLL come with time as you begin mastering triggers, and Cross too, as you begin to "see" several moves ahead.

but some tips for cross.... just always try to plan out your corss... don't get bothered too much by the 15 second time you have to use. Take even 2 minutes pre-planning your cross if you need to... once you get the "tricks" it will speed up by itself, but you need to understand and recognize good/bad situations... and i cant think of anything else, sorry, its too intuitive. You might wanna check out Dan's cubing page he has a cross tutorial and he made up a bunch of rules that might help you out as well

edit: oh and one more thing: johannes wrote this very helpful script that will find shortest crosses so that you can double check your solutions to tough crosses. It can be found here:
