Do you need your own Stackmat timer to bring to a competition?

I don't believe so. The Regulations say nothing about whether you need one or not. I think they are supplied at the competition.

Do you get ranked on Best Solve or best average?
im talking abuot any competition.

Average...
You should read the regulations and have a good idea of what is not allowed and the general flow of competitions. Just to make it easier on the organizers, judges, runners, etc.
