Clock and Other Things (Clock is Back)

Competed for the first time in over 2 months, and I had a weekend of some nice PRs (finally). Went to New England Quiet Championship and Mystic Cubikon 2025.

Got a solid MBLD result considering I haven't really practiced 3BLD at home, but 3 points is significantly better than my past PR with 1 point.

I also won clock for the first time in two years!! It's even cooler because I got a PR average and a nice single. I was really aiming for a low 4 average, but any PR is nice. My best solve of round 1 was the best clock single in the comp, and it's only 0.04 off my PR 😭

I finally went to another comp after two months, and I won clock again!!

I got a DNF in round one, so I had to safety and counted an 8.xx. I did get a PR3 single though, which was very cool. The average was also 6.70, but I didn't do it on purpose.

Finals just went smoothly overall, and I ended up with a PR average! I'm really hoping for a low-4 (or maybe sub-4???) official average soon, since I somewhat frequently get sub-4 averages at home.

Hello everyone! It has been an extremely long time. I've been on a hiatus from cubing to focus on work and other interests of mine, such as art and magnet fishing. I plan to start competing here and there in the fall, but a break was absolutely necessary during this busy stage of life. I've been practiving megaminx and 5x5 sporadically (occasionally some clock as a treat), but just for fun.

In other news, I've been accepted to a PhD program and will be working towards my clocktorate over the coming several years!
