Hello there!

I bought my first 3x3 cube a couple of weeks ago (GAN 356 m) after having watched "the Speedcuber" documentary on Netflix.

I finished learning how to solve it in the basic way in a couple of days.

My target now is to solve it in one minute (I know, I know, it's a very long time but that's my goal so far).
Ah, BTW, I'm a very old guy (56 years old).... but I think that age doesn't matter when you do something that you like!

Have great solves everybody!!!

basically my life story of cubing except i was 10 and my mom secretly bought me a rubiks cube that had mediocre performance. Hope you achieve you're goal! I have some tips for sub 1 min: Focus on improving F2L to 30 - 40 seconds, and try to do cross without rotations, rotations take time and if you do without them you will be shaving off 5 seconds.

EDIT: Im so dumb i forgot to say welcome

Hi, and wecome to the forums!
It's such a good documentary, I'm glad you liked it. Really portrays both sides of cubing, and how friends can be fierce competitors at the same time.

Not to pigeonhole you based on your age, but you might like this thread where there are a handful of other older adult cubers. The rest of the forums has a pretty young demographic, so it can be nice to talk to other people your age.

But, that being said, I hope you enjoy your time on the forums.

Thanks for your tips and for the welcome!!!

Ciao!
Hai altri cubi oltre alla 3x3?

Qual è il tuo soluzione migliore?
Ciao!
No al momento non ho altri cubi (ho appena ricevuto il GAN 356 i2) oltre al 3x3.
La mia miglior solve al momento è 1:35
