CFCE Discussion

So I'll start, is cfce faster than cfop

No. CLL recognition is pretty good, especially if you learn to predict the orientation during final pair, but ELL recognition is kinda bad. It’s still roughly comparable to CFOP overall (easily has potential for sub-10 and beyond), so I’d say definitely go ahead with it. Plus 2LLL is less algs which is nice.

should i be method neutral between cfce and cfop?

It’s always worth it to learn more algs. Once you’ve learned CLL/ELL, I recommend learning PLL, that way if you skip OLL (not as rare with some extra tricks like partial WV) you can capitalize. Something like COLL could also be worth it since it’s easier for someone who already knows CLL, and it’d give a guaranteed easy ELL if you get a cross OLL

Also, for a ZBLL type set for CFCE, you could maybe look into CLLEO (which would just be OLLCP) or maybe 1LLL with the corners already oriented (which would just be 3 subsets of 1LLL instead of the 7 ZBLL has)
