Two nights ago after trying to break 20 seconds on CubeMania I had to stop due to a tingling sensation in my fingers and slight numbness. I have no pain in my wrist or hand tho. I have googled around and have taken a test for carpal tunnel which said I do indeed have it. My hand feels slightly off now but that may just be mental. I'm definitely going to start doing stretching exercises before cubing. What do you guys think? I did like 50 solves today (very few yesterday) and am not experiencing anything other than listed above. I don't think its serious enough to see a doctor just yet since I only had the symptoms once but I really don't want to injure my OH hand!

give it another day or two of rest... if it still hasnt gone away after then, then you should go and get it checked out.

just make sure you rest it

Ok, Rama has convinced me to take a 3 day break from cubing. I will try to do that but seeing as how I've been "breaking" for like ten minutes and have already done two A's idk lol. And I'm doing stretching I found online to help prevent carpal tunnel.

If this is the first time you have felt this way it may not be anything at all. Get a little rest, hold back on the mega solve days for a little while and see how it goes.

Where did you take this test? Or how?

By the way, I only strecth after cubing. Should I begin to do it before cubing?

I just googled around about carpal tunnel. It said point your fingers down and put the backs of your hands together bending your wrists. If you start to get a tingly or numb feeling within a minute you probably have carpal tunnel. My right hand was fine my left hand very quickly started feeling tingly. If you are concerned you have carpal tunnel just do a google search for it its pretty easy to find the information on it.
I think you should stretch before yes. Even if you are not hurting at least as a precaution.

Stretching before Cubing? Sounds funny :-)
I never do any exercises like Stretching, I just start cubing;
But maybe that's a reason for why my times are swinging up and down and are never constant ^-^
