Hi I just got my Eastsheen set of 2x2,4x4 and 5x5

2x2 is very smooth, I think no need to lube it.

4x4 and 5x5 are a bit tight, but I heard some people say silicone spray(I use Jig-a-loo) doesnt work well for eastsheen cubes?

If not silicone spray, is there anyway I can make the cube smoother?

thank you.

I would suggest strongly that you NOT mess with the screws on your ES 4x4 or 5x5. It worked out very, very poorly for my brother's 4x4 and I think that it is generally considered to be an extremely bad idea.

But yes, feel free to lube it.

I would say just play with it and break it in

If after that you dont like it then lube it, but first see if breaking in does the trick

With my ES set I just broke them in and they were fine

It would be great if Syuhei gave some insight into his lubrication method...he says he uses grease (don't you have to clean that?) and silicone spray.

P.S. - He has the most beautiful ES I have ever heard...EVER:

OH MY GOD...That is the nicest smoothest cube I have ever seen. Whats the secret? WHAT?

Did you see those inner slices and that smooth 3x3 stage?

GAH!
