can perfect tension be created?

ive seen a couple of DIY cubes before and i have an older version. its difficult to set the cubes tension. most of the time its too loose and falls apart during a solve. other times its too tight and i get a slow solve. the only time it turns well is when i load it with silicone but that makes the cube slippery and nasty. is perfect tension really a reality in speed cubing cause id really like to get mine turning just right for once.

I'd say make a loose tension and get used to it, the turning accuracy your fingers have will help keep the cube more stable.

He pretty much makes it super tight first. Then loosenes it up a little then tries to pop it. Then he repeats that process until the cube actually pops. then he tightens the screw a little bit and then there it is.

You do that to all the sides. Thats hoe he does it.

But its all about personal perfrence. Just keep playing with it untill you find whats just right.
