Can Cubers Focus Better When Listening to Music While Cubing? (Experiment)

I struggle to cube without it because there’s lots of noise around me, but I can’t listen to regular music because it’s also distracting. I typically listen to instrumentals, but sometimes even those are distracting. It’s tough for me to get in the zone with practicing. I could never listen to a podcast and still solve at full capacity.

Music that I am not familiar with gets me the best results, especially stuff that I can zone out. I’d bet I would get similar effects with noise cancelling headphones, but I do not have them, so I can’t test that.

Lately I've been cubing without music but I just do short averages

If I have to do some avg100 I'll definitely listen to my Spotify playlists

I've heard from people that they like to listen to music when cubing, and some say it helps them focus better. I made this thread so people can share their info if they tried it out.
So just go to Spotify or something, pick a song, and start cubing.
I don't usually hear music while cubing, but I pay some videos in the background, so I can listen to them while cubing. It helps me concentrate.

I did 75 solves total with 4 different puzzles (3x3, skewb, pyra, mega) while drinking a cup of black coffee with no sugar and listening to japanese podcasts and I found that my focus was better than listening to music

listening to music can have inconsistent results sometimes because music affects your emotional in different ways
