Caltech Sping Competition 2007 May 5

I am desperately looking to find a familiar person at the comp because I know absolutely no one in speedcubing in real life. I only began 2 months ago so it is kind of obvious I know no one. Please tell me if you are coming- even if you are an alien. So I can meet you there!

I actually won't be going. It would take me three hours to get there by public transportation, and to me it isn't worth it. If only I could get my friends with cars interested in cubing.

I heard Dan Dzoan set a new WR at 10.08 seconds for the 3x3, then it was broken in Spain to 9.86 just a couple hours later.

Edit: 9.86 would have been set before, because it was in Spain.

Indeed, the semi-final in Spain took place at 8:30 AM California time.
So Dan never broke the WR unless he did it before unfortunately. :s

Okay, yeah, I see that now on Yahoo, thanks for correcting me.

lol, when Dan 'broke' the WR Tyson Mao was signing a cube I bought so I didn't get to see it and my sister was only recording my solves. I did pretty good considering my hands were shaking and I was jamming my cube. I was penalized on my 4 solve on the first round and the first solve of the second round so my average seems high. And I had a 44 but it was because my cubie popped into the audience and I had to go get it!
