i have a comp on october 7th, lake erie showdown! i decided to set some goals to make it more interesting, i havent done this before
2x2: my pr average is already really good (compared to at home times), so as long as i get a sub 5 average i'll be happy
3x3: similar story to 2x2, but more manageable. sub 15 average would be satisfactory, but a sub 14.17 pr average would be super cool
4x4: i really wanna grind 4x4, im going for a sub 50 official single. idk if ill be able to
5x5: my overall pb average on 5x5 is in a comp, so i dont really have any hopes there... as long as my solves are clean and no big pauses, ill be happy
skewb: i literally only signed up to get more official solves under my belt. i hate skewb, sorry. so i guess, my goal is just dont dnf lol
pyraminx: theres a good chance ill make it to finals, so i'll probably have two chances at a sub 4 average. current pr is 4.00
ill be grinding 4x4 and pyra for a lil while so this thread might get updates on those two if im not lazy

How do you get better at pyra? I'm never able to understand its fingertricks and I use beginners while averaging high-7 to low-8

i think that the way you hold it is really important for fingertricks, its completely different than any other event, you gotta throw 3x3 hope grip out the window
im not explaining this very well idk
