As topic, I want to buy 1 or 2 Mefferts Megaminx tiles sets.
Should be new or nearly unused. Must not be 100% complete.

BUMP because I want to add to this for myself.

I have a QJ Megaminx with the plastic raised tiles (not "normal" tiles or stickers) and was wondering if anyone has one sitting around that they are using for parts that might want to get rid of it, or at least 2 pieces of it if you have the ones I need, here in the US. I've lost the lighter blue center cap (and I have NO idea where it could have went because where I am sitting when it fell, there's no where for it to go!!) and the pink/light (neon?) green edge piece (think it went down the kitchen drain when I was rinsing the pieces after modding a little more tho I didn't hear it fall - it's a metal sink).

I may just try to find a better tiled cube (I need the raised tiles in order to help me "feel" the cube and hold on to it due to numbness in my fingertips - not too bad when it's a normal cube but these weird shaped, more than 6 sided cubes (give or take a side depending on the size of the cube) make it difficult for me to hold on to.) This is all a bummer because, although this was a "cheap" cube, I had it modded so sweetly that I was almost to my perfection. This final mod, I think, would have been the last one although there may have been a tension tweak here and there. That's what makes me wanna cry (which is ok cuz I'm a girl :) ).

I did a search for the replacement tiles and this popped up and tho it's going on towards 2 years ago since this was first posted, I thought maybe someone would be able to help. I'll gladly pay (within reason - the QJ is only $9 here (which is the one I have) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004BXW66I/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I hope I can paste URLS.....don't remember now....if not, just go to Amazon.com and look for the QJ Tiled Megaminx - you'll see it)) but I thought if someone in the states had a spare that wouldn't mind just dropping those 2 pieces into an envelope and mailing them to me, I'd really appreciate it. As it is, I'm going to continue to check out the tiled megaminxes and as long as I'm here asking (I'll search here too but since I'm already here.....) anyone got any good recommendations on a good tiled megaminx. I'm not worried about cost of whatever you show simply because if it's too much, I'll ignore it (or beg for it for my birthday or something :) ) but when I got this one, although I liked it once I did the first mod, the glue holding the tiles sucked - there were 4 of them lying in the bottom of the package that I had to Gorilla glue back on and the one center cap (one of the blue ones) had fallen off and won't stay on (surprise, it's the one that went missing - would have glued that back on once I was happy with everything and knew I wasn't going to be popping caps off any time soon).

But I'm already going through withdrawals from my minx and it's driving me nuts even tho I have the YJ fluctuation Axis cube to work on. My eyes/brain aren't clicking yet with the top, bottom and center. Sometimes I see the centers and other times I can't which I know means it's not lined up right. So it makes it hard to follow tutorials although NAS5298 and CrazyBadCuber have 2 good tutorials - it's taken for granted that the person watching is into the cubing world far enough that they can "easily" follow along. Not for me - when I get into a "hobby" I jump in with both feet and that includes puzzles that are above my head like this one. Although I have solved a couple of times on my own now the Square 1 and am learning the Super Square 1, I've got the C4U 3x3x7 down, the Mirror cube.....and enough about that stuff. Totally OT.

So if anyone has any you can either tell me here and get my addy (it's a PO Box so it doesn't matter if I post it here - besides, someone may feel sorry for this 52 yo disabled grandma of 6 and send me an old fun cube they haven't played with in forever and wouldn't mind getting rid it of. Yeah, shameless plug - but when you're living on disability, you plug wherever you can LOL tho seriously, I'm not begging for cubes - I have enough to keep me occupied, helps the brain and the eye/hand coordination limbering up - lost a lot when I became disabled and am slowly getting it back thanks to cubing!!)

GEEEEEEEZ there I go again - sorry - yapping about crap again. My bad (I really need to try to curb these impulses to yap endlessly but when your only human contact outside of my dog is on the computer, when you got something to talk about you tend to ramble - maybe I should do a blog on cubing and follow my progress now that I know I'm going to keep going and not just play with a cube, solve it and am done. Not with all the F2Ls, OLLs, PLLs and all the other stuff you can learn JUST on the 3x3x3, not to mention the rest of the cubes. No way am I going to get bored with that.

Ok - I'm done for real. Thanks in advance for any help. (Feels funny clicking "Post Quick Reply" when there's nothing "quick" about this LOL)
