I'm not really sure if this belongs in the beginner's section or the speedcubing but it doesn't really matter.

Is it worth keeping the black stickers on my white v-cube 5? Should I just peel all of them off since this is the only cube I have with a black face (The colour schemes for my other cubes are the same).

Id say that if you dont like them, you should peel them off. You can always buy new ones from CubeSmith. Personally, my times( on 3x3 ) increase 10 seconds if I have black stickers instead of white.

I'd say keep them, then you have options. If, in a few weeks, you decide you can't solve a V-Cube quick enough with a black face instead of white, you can just take them off. For now, you have them on, and since you really don't seem to care, just leave them on. Better leave them on and have the choice to take them off later, then take them off and want them back later.

I think stickers hide imperfections and divots in the plastic. I wouldn't until I have replacements.

To make it competition legal, you will need stickers. White stickers on a white cube might take you just as long to get used to as black stickers on a white cube. (My opinion. I don't mind my black stickers on my white V7. My white stickers on my white 3x3 bugs me slightly.)

the red stickers on my first rubik's cube faded away, so I peeled them away, leaving the black plastic beneath. I have had no trouble with it.

People still ask me "How can you solve the cube if you don't have red??" :fp

It doesnt matter! Iam now using black stickers intead of white. It was quite confusing at first but after a few days it was fine.

It makes little difference to be honest. You can get used to either color scheme.
