Black Or White DIY

Ok so I'm just about to but my very first DIY but having a hard time deciding what color.. I've been looking for the answer if the color between black and white makes a big difference(type C). So here are some of my main questions about both:
Big difference in the feel of them?
I read in some threads that black is faster but white is smoother is that true?
and if they are the same its just a matter of personal preference?

I personally like the black DIY's better. I like them better because white cubes slow down look ahead time. I do think that white cubes are a bit smoother though. So it's totally up to you.

Ok thanks to both of you I'll just be getting the original black color. I guess I'll found out how much I like it when I receive my DIY.

lol, i like black cubes the best due to a black cube was my first cube....its just what you want its like do you want a pink cup to drink water or do you want a blue cup to drink water there the same thing its just that the color is diffrent.

Lol yea, I kinda of have the same reason as you about the black cube. anyway i just ordered it and I hope all ends well

Well watch what you buy, some cubes just suck and it’s not because of its color... any way I’m kind of curious where did you buy your cubes from?

I just got a black type C from cubefans, and will probably be assembling it tonight. I also got a black and a white type a, so I will be able to answer that question somewhat.

Not sure if its the same as the black, but I recieved my Blue Type C from CubeFans and assembled it today. Once lubed, it was amazing. Quite possibly my best cube.

Huh... well I can't talk about lookahead because mine sucks so terribly I don't think that even the color scheme of the stickers affects it, but my recog was much snappier with my white cube. Of course, that could also be due to an alternate stickering scheme I used. Oh well. I personally just like the look of the white cubes better.

what about other colours beside black and white? I have an orange DIY that is amazing.

Any other color other than white and black (excluding metallic paint) > white > black in terms of smoothness.
