Better to wait until the cube has been broken in before lubing?

I take it that lubing the cube first will make it take longer for the cube to break in?

But do you think it could actually stop the cube from breaking in at all?

I just got a new cube yesterday and it was really stiff, although it didn't take long to loosen up more (about 5 mins of messing around with it) I didn't have the patience to wait for it to fully break in before lubing it (God knows how long it would take), so I just lubed it.

Jig-A-Loo will break it in, in a sense.
Other lubes, maybe not.

I break in my cubes for atleast a week before lube.

What would be the best way to go about lubing a new GuHong? I have CRC and Maru Lube. Should I put in the Maru Lube directly or first use CRC and then Maru Lube or something like that?

i don't see the point of breaking in, silicone does still make it to gather cube dust and "break it in"

If you break it in enough you won't need lube though :T

Edward, I completely disagree I like the feel of just shock fluid much better than cube dust!

I just lubed mine with maru, then when that ran out I used shock oil
