Are you getting discouraged because there are too many good competitors in the weekly and the monthly competition? Are you just about to give up? Then, this is the place for you! This is like a pre-jude forum and pre-AvGalen forum. I would say that a beginner in cubing would be defined as a person that started less than 2 months ago. People here would get times, like fourty seconds to two minutes. Don't worry,you won't get disqualified if you get a time below fourty seconds. All that means to you is that you are ready to go into the speedcubing competition. Best of luck! Post your times on the forum. When I had been cubing for 8 months, in January, I had a sub 15 avg of 5 PB. Why don't you change it to less than two months of cubing? That way there is more motivation to get faster quicker

Go to the records for "Rubik´s 3x3x3 Cube: Shortest time to reach sub 20 seconds average". Look at all the records up to around 34. Under 8 months, yet under 20 seconds.

Second, 8 months is a long time. I was averaging 36 with Fridrich around 6 or 7 months of cubing. I would say 2 months is beginner status.

im about 1:20 average... i wna get below 1m average with beginner method so slow progress but im gna do it anyway LOL!

people seem to get like sub 20 quick as hell and others it takes a while... keeps a natural progression... we will get there its practise makes perfect
