I was just wondering how to get a beastly cube....
So far, I guess I will
sand (paper) all the pieces
Lubricate it with silicone
and Possibly add sand to the pieces (some might remember thrawst from youtube)
any suggestions?

ehh I found adding some lube under the center caps helps (still untested, i wouldn't recommend it). You could also try loosening it a bit (the screws). I think the best way to do it is to wear it out though.

Here's a previously unreleased (?) tip from me

try solving with a yellow crosss.. most people's NEW cubes have the yellow side most worn out... so if you solve with the yellow cross you will have a smoother white side.. and so on for the others..

replacing the stickers and rotate the colours should also do it... (put green where yellow was etc.)

Lube under the centercaps won't d anything for the speed. In fact, all it does is make the center caps fall out extremely easy.(My friend's brother accidentally got silicone in his center caps, and all the caps fell out if you tapped it on a table)

Not for me. I used glue, and sahunhong used rubber cement, and it actually sped it up, and removed that annoying ringing sound. I haven't tried it with lube, but if you glued down the cap after, I'm sure it would work better than what we used.

use A LOT of vaseline(don't shoo the post just yet) then when it's pretty smooth get all the vaseline and gunk out then put silicone...the vaseline should have made the cube smoother compared to the first time...

oh yah it's still untested

All you need to get a beastly fast cube is time. Buy a store cube, play with it, break it in, then lube it. After a while, it'll get dirty. So, clean the centers and the pieces, and put it back together, and it'll be faster than ever. Then, repeat as necessary. That's the life story of my main speedcube =D
Oh, and when lubing, go crazy. I put waaaay too much lube into my cube.

Don't use Vaseline, I did it to my first cube and there is almost no way to get it out anymore.
Oh, please... Just because you've had bad experiences with vaseline doesn't mean that nobody should never lube any cubes with it. Many people have said it's great.

If you have only one cube and can't buy another one, then I agree that you should be careful with it. But otherwise, there's nothing wrong with trying vaseline.
