Basic Roux tutorial

Can anyone point me to a basic Roux tutorial? I know a beginner method that I learned from DeeDub, but I really need help with the first two blocks. I’m old and stupid so the more basic the better.
I don’t know CFOP.

it seems like I need to learn f2l to understand block building. Every tutorial says “just find this f2l pair and insert it”
