assembling square-1

Could anyone help me with this?

we bought a lot of stuff recently, and I got a square-1...

it's the DIY from cube4you (the black one)

they guy who bought the stuff assembled it and lubed, before sending to me...(I didn't ask him to do it, but that's not the point)

when I opened the box and tried to play with it, I saw a part was broken...an edge piece would come out everytime I tried to turn one of the layers...

so I took all edges apart, glued the little part back...

put 3 edges in again, but I can't put the last one...

am I doing it right? or should I assemble it another way?

The middle layer should have a cap you can pop off and there'll be a screw there that you can unscrew.

I tried popping the cap, but looks like it didn't want to come out
so I left it...

a fried showed me how to do it...you gotta turn the right part just half way and pop the piece in
