Are there any comps in the UAE?

The closest comps to you would be in Egypt or India, which would be a plane ride or a boat ride.

I was in India near the beginning if the year but I was a cubed then.

Unfortunately it looks like there’s only been 14 competitions in UAE. There were 2 last year though so hopefully there will be some ones coming up soon!

Not only in your area, also here in Switzerland, it is sometimes hard to find future events, because most of them show up on the WCA page only around one month before starting.
Sometimes the events are planned and maybe even communicated outside the WCA page but on the WCA page they appear really late

You better get registered as soon as registration opens. As I heard, Dubai comps normally get filled up within a day or two.

- Set up your “preferred events” so that doesn’t take time
- Save the card information you plan on paying with so you can autofill
- Be there on the register page before it’s open
- Open a seconds clock somewhere you can see (I use time.gov but that’s for USA only)
- The moment the clock ticks over, refresh the page

That’s how I consistently get in to comps in an area where 150 person comps fill up in minutes.
