Hi everyone! I need some help... are G Perms (Ga, Gb, Gc and Gd) are necessary for Speedcubing? Thanks

It is possible to prevent the majority of PLL cases by phasing. Basically, you permute the top layer edges so that opposite edges are opposite at the same time as inserting the last CE pair. The only problem with this is that you need OLLs that preserve the phasing. Most OCLLs preserve phasing anyway, so if you orient the edges before the last slot either by using a method like ZZ or petrus or by doing it throughout F2L, phasing works quite well.
For those that like the G-perm or just dislike the N-perm, you could do a form of phasing where the goal is to not have opposite edges opposite. This eliminates some of the worse cases that occur in standard phasing.
OP: Don't listen to this post. Just learn your G-perms. What Elrog is suggesting is both more work and not as fast as just knowing all of the PLLs.
I think it could be fast, just nobody has gone into as much depth with it. It does work better for ZZ than CFOP though. I've actually been thinking about doing phasing with OCLL (which is a subset of 2gll) for one handed because nobody is going to find a good way do corner permutation early on in the solve anytime soon.

I speedsolved for four years before learning a single G-perm algorithm (for non-FMC purposes).
No regrets:
Ga - R2' S2 (U l2' U' l2') (u R2 U' r2' F2)
Gb - n/a
Gc - R2' F2 (R U2 R U2') (R' F R U R' U') (R' F R2)
Gd - (R U R' F') (R U R' U) (R U' R' U') (R' F R2 U R' U') (R U' R')
