So I got my first cube yesterday. I was pretty excited. I've gotten my time down to 2 mins and 37 seconds (is that fast or slow for 24 hours). I was about to time myself again because I fealt faster, and midway through the solve, out of nowhere, the cube shatters. Litterally shaters. Some of the middle pieces broke of so It can't be fixed. Im going to try to return it and get a new one, but Im just wondering, are everyday cube breaks common? Or did I just get a seriously crappy cube? I mean, I wasn't even doing something that should break it. I was just twisting the right side and there was no resistance, but midway through the turn-- boom.

Really? Wait, whats the difference between a normal cube and a magic? Or are the normal cubes magics?

Magics are not cubes. He was talking about a different puzzle.

I'd go buy either (or all)
Guhong DIY kit (only get DIY if you want to assemble it yourself)
Haiyan Memory cube
F-II

Guhong is most popular. It's a high quality good performance cube. Many people use it.

I don't know. Don't people usually recommend for new cubers to get a slower cube? You don't necessarily have to get another storebought, but I probably wouldn't go straight to a guhong if you just started cubing.
