Anyone here use a DIY type C?

It was my first non-storebought. Definitely better than a store cube, but I don't use mine anymore as I just don't think its the best.

Why does mine POP so much!!!!!!!!!?

Yes, who will answer this question? How to fix this?
This is the only problem I have with the Type C. Other than that, it's awesome!
I just ordered 6 of them for my school cubing club, so I suppose I have some room to test and hybrid them...

I use something close to a type C. I really like the way they feel if they're properly assembled and broken in. Nice and quick.

EDIT: In answer to the pop question, I used a type A core, Type A centers, C screws, and A screws. Maybe A edges if that's not enough.

Do you mean Type C springs and A screws? I think if you put the type a edges in, it will really be a type a with c corners and screws, not a c with a core, centers, edges, and screws/springs.

Yeah, A screws and C springs. I suppose you're right in that it's really more A than C, but it feels so much more like type C than A that you could mistake it for just a straight up C.
