Recently, I got my hands on an Alexander's Star puzzle. It came unsolved, so I attempted to solve it. So far, I have not been able to solve it thoroughly. I have gotten to the point where only two of my edges are in the wrong place. I have tried using Jaap's solution method, and I am confused because I've tried every single move I can.

This is what I have so far. As you may see, two of the edges are in the incorrect places. I have tried to swap two identical pieces and have attempted to solve again. This has not helped me in the slightest, and has only lead to pretty much the exact same result.

I don't know if I'm doing the "identical piece switch" correctly, or if I'm just being stupid.

Thank you for your time.

Well, this is embarrassing: I just found a solution. Apparently I was, in fact, doing the IPS (identical piece switch) incorrectly. I cannot really remember what I did, but next time I solve it, I will try to write down my steps in solving such.
