Rotations don’t count lolIn competition that would have been 38 moves (rotation counts), which is still better than my PB
Woah, then what is your PB?which is still better than my PB
As already said, learning NISS was very hard for me, which brought me an DNF official avgDo yall just use CFOP? You should learn blockbuilding, NISS, and insertions! I learned using J perms FMC playlist and now I average 35!
Well NISS isn’t required to be able to use blockbuilding/insertions, it just makes it much easier, especially when it comes to pseudo blocks. But with blockbuilding essentially you try to efficiently build a 2x2 block, then expand it to a 2x2x3, and then F2L minus one pair. Then, usually the best thing to do is solve all the edges so you’re left with anywhere from 3-5 corners left to be solved. These can be solved with what’s called a commutator (I won’t explain this rn but J perms video explains it super well) and since a commutator only affects those 3 corners, you can swap them at any point during your solution. You’ll want to find where you can do it so the most moves are cancelled, for example, one time I cancelled 6 moves (basically the 3 moves after inserting the commutator undid the last 3 moves of my commutator). I hope that made sense, as I said, J perm explains it better in his FMC playlist. As already said, learning NISS was very hard for me, which brought me an DNF official avg
Maybe I should try blockbuilding too
What do you suggest?

I have decided to remove the "6 months thing" as I have not been following this weekly, so its now a regular progression thread.
I have broken new PBs, so time to update my accomplishments. And I'm going to my 4th comp:
