Recently, I have created a website: cuber score

It is mainly based on the your rank's “position” among all the cubers who have the result on each event. For example, if you are the top 1% level of all the competitors at WCA in 333, you will get 90 pts for 333. For the details, you may go to the GitHub page which is in the bottom of the website.

Personally, I think it makes more sense than SOR and Kinch

Every event you will get a score, and it will calculate the overall score (17 events), the score for short events, long events, etc.

Definitely interesting. I think it's a little odd how there seems to be a boost on the really popular events, since so many beginners are included in those events. So for instance, I'm pretty terrible at pyraminx and yet it is one of my higher scores. But it does seem to do well at giving better scores for me at BLD and FMC, which feels right.

Also on an unrelated topic that I noticed by looking at the stats at the bottom of the page, we're very close now to hitting a quarter of a million competitors with 3x3x3 averages now!!!!!

19.61 is pretty bad lol. i have only done 4 events ever so i guess if i compete in skewb it would go higher?
Sure, the 'overall score' will sum your events scores and divide by 17 (no matter how many events you have taken). There is another score called 'My Events', and that will only divide you score sum by 4. So the more events you take, the higher 'overall score' you will get. : )

not good enough (still better than most of my friends though : D)

cool website, I will be checking this after every comp from now on
Haha, This marking system is more strict than which in the school, and the highest overall score in the world is only 93. Even Feliks Zemdegs can only get 83 pts, although we thought he is a legend of the Rubik's Cube. But I think it will give a higher score than Kinch, right?

Cool site! I think it would be nice if all the scores were also ranked, for example showing national ranking, continental ranking and World ranking for overall score(or score within a certain group of events such as BLD events)
Yeah, I also want to make a leaderboard but I’m only a yr2 cs student, so it will be technically difficult to make something like that (calculating thousands of cuber’s score may cost a lot of resource). I wish someone can make it and the project is open source with MIT license

but could u make one based on average?
also i refuse to believe im better at 2x2 and pyra than squan
Actually it is based on average, except for the 4 blindfolded events. It will probably give a higher score in the popular events, that may because there are more beginners in the popular events like 3x3 and 2x2, than which in the less popular events like sq-1, fmc and 3x3 mbf. However, the marking system is consistent between all events.
