What is "reaction score" on this website, and what does it mean?

I was looking in my profile and saw something called reaction score. It is likes and reactions I guess but I just want to know if this really means anything or it is just a cool feature that this site has.

I think it's simply the sum of reactions
But the mods can confirm it

I would think that a negative reaction would subtract points, but then again the reaction might be about the content and less about the post (eg. a "Feet was just removed" post might get a sad or angry reaction even though nothing about the post itself is bad).

It’s still 355 after you taking the Angry out. React Angry to this post, maybe it just didn’t update.

"wow", "sad" and "angry" have no effect.
"like", "love" and "haha" have +1
