A different way of f2l: MSUF2L

First you create 4 f2l pairs (1x1x2 block) with the same color on the 1x1 section of it. Do this with out worrying about pthe centers or the first cross pieces. Do this without postioning them correctly by remembering where each one is and moving them around randomly so they don't get messed up. Then you use an algorithm (i have not found them yet) to postion them correctly. Now using MS and U moves only, position the rest of the f2l pieces.
