Seriously?
Look, we're not being dicks. We're just pointing out that you can't cheat (yes, applying moves during inspection - especially when it's in order to make the start of your solve easier - is blatantly cheating) and expect us to not call you out on it. Illogically defending your actions doesn't help either.

tl;dr: Cheating comes in many forms - refrain from them all.

I agree that it is cheating in a form, but this hobby is meant for fun. If you have to worry about a bunch or different rules while solving, it seems to take away from the fun.

really? come on dude im not a cheater i just did it once.

Meh, cheating once still makes you a cheater. Either way if you want to count this as your pb go ahead, but its really not going to help you grow as a cuber.

And yes, some people on this forum might be overreacting. But wouldn't it bother you if someone posted a video of them getting an UWR at home, but they did a move during inspection and to make the cross easier.

Cool stuff. Does that mean that if I kill only once, then I'm no murderer?

Actually I agree that regulations shouldn't be taken too serious at home. Stopping with keyboard is already against the regulations for example.

But there is a huge difference between ignoring mistakes you make and obvious cheating.

Still: Do what you want (and then get what you deserve).

I hope your next competition's delegate will look carefully at what you do during preinspection.
