[Unofficial] 6.03 3x3 Single (last layer skip)

Don't you have any friends who could film you solving?

I do, but I am not allowed to have the time or space to cube well and have a computer at the same time. I might go to a friend's so film an avg, Idk.

I don't mind him nubbing me :P I like Kclejeune and his attitude.
I wouldn't go to the trouble of printing a sheet of scrambles, dude.

anyway, do we all agree on if this is fake? :P

No. She averages the around the same as me, mid 11. I have a sub 7 single, and rotten luck. I can see this happening.

Also, I'm pretty sure that if she wanted to fake a solve this fast, she would at least make it sub 6..

I was saying I don't think it's fake. She has better TPS and it would've been more consistent.

It's really sad to see these forums take a complete crap the past few years. I feel like every time I open this site, all I find is pointless arguing about stuff that doesn't even really matter. I really feel badly about raising any suspicion in the first place. Because really, who cares? If the solve is legit, congrats. If it's fake, whatever.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with this point of view. If we just don't care about fake solves anymore, then there'll be no difference between fake/real solves.

I'm not saying this is 100% fake, it's just given all of the aforementioned circumstances (several uploaded LL skips, several 6 second solves uploaded, 15s best comp average) and the fact that applemobile brought up. LL skips should have no influence on F2L. Yet all her LL skips seem to have extraordinary F2L speeds for her. Another example, her 11 second OH single?

If people post fake solves and we don't call them out, they'll post more fake solves. Calling them out filters out the waste-of-time threads/videos from speedsolving.com

I disagree. Whether or not we "call someone out" has nothing to do with the difference between real and fake. If we ignore people that don't post proof, they will continue to post lies...which mean absolutely nothing and should not bother anyone. If someone wants to validate his or her claim, he or she simply must post a video. Done.

Calling people out does nothing for anyone except cause flame wars, which terribly derail threads. If you think someone is lying, treat them as you would a child who is trying to lie to you to impress them; completely ignore them. As I said before, we will always be able to tell a true solve by a simple post of a video solve. Easy.

LOL no...

Posting a video doesn't prove it's not fake :fp (where is it when I need one)

If I were to post a video of me running the timer on my computer and then stopping it, would you not be able to see a random scramble appear on my screen? You then could see me scramble it up. (and make sure my moves corresponded with the random scramble). Then you could see me make the solve and the time it took. I feel like this leaves no holes, but I could definitely be wrong.

Did you even watch the 4.55? It's so easy to import a scramble into a timer.

You can insert the scramble to the timer beforehand. and have it practised over and over again before recording it.

Just watch this:

Seems legit doesn't it? But it's not

Was unaware of this. If this is the case, anyone's solves could be easily faked, in which case it's pointless to argue about whether or not solves are real, yes? Only the solver will know for sure, making other arguments a waste of time.
