I got the following case. I am using the Redux method, I mean I solve the centers then pair up the edges and finally solve as 3x3. I often end up with the last two tredges as incomplete and when I try to solve I complete one and the other is shown in the image below.

I went on to complete the solve without finishing the last tredge and got the position shown above.

Should I leave the last tredge till the end as shown above or should I solve it before going for the 3x3 Solve stage. In any case, how should I proceed.

Exactly. And I'd say there's your answer. Or it's because they didn't/don't know the shorter one yet, or don't like it as much. But if you want to know for sure, you have to ask them.

Thanks for the answer, but I still don't know why the credits page was updated ;)

Ellis already answered this, but now I ask *you* to come up with at least two reasons (I see two).

I think that the first reason would be that If I leave it till the end then I would have a greater restriction on my movements as almost all of the cube would be solved.

Secondly, I dont know

There are shorter Algorithms

And I did not respond to you.

We chose the one that is on the site because it is the one we like most. I also think that it is better execution wise. I prefer it anyway.

I believe that the first two cases can be solved as shown

This is how you recognize the first case:

* On the left there are two completed pieces on the top.
* Its partner is on the right up and has the same color on the face.
* On the bottom right are two pieces twisted different
* On the bottom left is the piece that matches bottom right face.

Algorithm Old: (Dd) R U R' F R' F' R (Dd)'
Algorithm New: (Dd) R F' U R' F (Dd)'

This is how you recognize the second case:

* On the left there are Two completed pieces on the bottom.
* Its partner is on the right down and has the same color on the face.
* On the Up right are two pieces twisted different
* On the up left is the piece that matches up right face.

Algorithm Old: (Dd)' L' U' L F' L F L' (Dd)
Algorithm New: (Uu)' R F' U R' F (Uu)

Hope you update the page
