[Unofficial] 4x4 solve. 1:26.64. Tips please!

Embedding is broken for me, so here's a link.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to improve? I'm a constant 1:30 solver and it's frustrating not improving.

1. Get a better cube. Seriously, all those lockups were painful to watch.
2. Really really force yourself to lookahead during edge pairing. Not only did you have too many pauses, those pauses were very long. It's something that just has to be practiced, and does require a conscious effort.

A new cube eh? What do you recommend? I've been out of the loop for quite a while. That's a mini QJ back from when they were the best around.

4x4 cubes: X-Cube 4 if you are willing to spend the money, or Dayan+MF8 if not.

I feel the need to warn you that the Dayan Mf8 is pretty big. I use it and like it though.

If you want something better than your qj than pick an eastsheen. They are cheap but not the best. The one that I have heard great things about and I have used it is a maru 4x4. They are great.

Only get a Maru 4x4 if misalignments aren't a big deal to you.

hey I average mid 0:30 reductions.
You have to turn slower and learn how to examine while moving the outer layers.
This will feel slower but your times will drop like a brick.
Eventually you will start building edges without pausing while slowly gaining your speed back.

...Eastsheen? Last I checked, QJ was a direct upgrade from eastsheen.
