Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section, I'm not sure where it belongs.

Something came loose inside my eastsheen 4x4, so i couldn't twist the cube. I took the top layer edges and corners out to see what was wrong. I now can't reassemble the cube, because I am either left with an edge or a corner which wont fit. I have tried loosening the center, but when I try to fit the center pieces in, other parts of the cube fall out. Can somebody please tell my how to put this annoying cube back together?

thankyou

old thread, I know, but better that starting a new one.

My ES 4x4x4 just came apart at work, I don't have a screwdriver and I can't get the last layer back right.

Is there any way of putting it back together without unscrewing the centre cap?

I wasn't but now I've found a screwdriver.

I still can't get it back. What order do you do the last layer?

I'm trying to do the corners and edges first and leaving the last 4 centre pieces until last, but I'm having trouble getting the small pieces in.

help anyone?

corners, edges and that thing between them (what's it called), 4 centre pieces, inner center, caps

didn't you get a booklet with your ES?

no, I didn't get a booklet, but I've managed to find the pdf of the one you talk about.

The part I'm stuck on is step 4 (same as step 6) which is putting the posts (from the centre caps) in the corners, I put the 4 corner posts in, then the little peices in between them, put the centre peice in and screw it on, then pop on the 4 centre caps and the top layer doesn't turn properly and feels all loose so I must be doing something wrong.

edit - I've realised that piece 4 is not symmetrical as I previously thought, I might have put some in the wrong way..

edit - tried both ways, still the same. bottom 3 layers turn ok, top layer is stuck.
