Which is why we only let a group of roughly 6 people scramble at Finnish competitions.

All 3x3 scrambles with f2l skip xxx cross skip xx cross skip and much more are included here obviously for "retarded" 3x3 scrambles as you call them. And as you said we have more than 10000 official 3x3 scrambles every year so at some point we will get one of these and we have to deal with it. But the problem here is where to draw the line? Do you think for example that xcross skip is too "retarded"?

I don't have an answer to your questions. Anyway, it isn't up to me to decide; as I said, the community will determine what is acceptable if the need arises.

Anyway, there are only 3.6 million combinations for a 2x2. The concern we should have of the likelihood of a retarded scramble appearing is far greater than that which we should have for a 3x3.

My conclusion: 2x2 is stupid, 3x3 we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.

I don't see why this is a problem. I fit that criteria, and I rarely mess up a scramble at home.
