3x3x5 Tutorial

hi

i have a problem to solve the 3x3x5 (c4y). to off the smaller layers are swapped. i have tried it with domino cube alg but they destroy the oter pieces. does anyone know a good 3x3x5 tutorial i have used the forumsearch and looked at youtube

The way I solve it, is to solve the shape and inner pieces like a 3x3. that leaves you with only the outermost layers not solved, which you do like a 3x3 scrambled with domino.

I guess you need to know how to solve the 3x3x3, dan the 3x3x4 first.
There's 2 methodes that crossed my mind.
Solving from center layer to outer.
Pairing the inner with the outer (both edges and corners) then solve it as a 3x3x3.

thats the problem with my alg from the 2x3x3 they make what they have to do but destoroy the other smaller layer(i hope you know what i mean) i only need algos for the corners because for the edges i have alg they are going.

no alg should destroy the pairing of the inner layer to the big middle layer, as long as you are using only outer layer turns.

I do the same as Dan, but I solve the shape with the outer layers, then like a domino only turning the thin inner layers.
