3x3 Types?

Here's what I know:
Type A- Gouija (Alpha)
Type C- Witeden
Type D- YJ
Type F- Sheng En

Other than that, I am clueless. What about other brands, like Dayan, V-Cubes, QJ, LanLan, GhostHand, ShengShou, etc. Do they have types? And if they don't, should they?

They are simply brand names and that is what modern cubes usually go by (excluding type c wittwo)

There's even Type W.
Since everybody is buying Dayan Cubes (yeah, i know, not everybody and i don't want to offend somebody), this type classification system seems quite outdated to me.
Just my opinion...
