Hey everyone,
1x1 wr holder here. I'm currently using my ender 3 v2 to print pieces for a speedcube 3x3 that i found on thingiverse (link below). This is not my own design, but I plan on making my own in fusion 360. I am 3d printing this cube to see if it is even worth it to design my own cube with CAD and then print it. As of 4/16/2023, i have one piece printed. i will keep this thread updated with news and pictures, and i would apprectiate some tips. I'm excited for this project! SEEYA in the comments.

Link to thingiverse file. (again, this is not mine. Creds to the creator)
I'm trying to print the same model today.

I also started from the corners and each corner is taking 35min for me. But after the first corner was a succes I'm batch printing the next 7 corners and it will end in the next 2 hours. (36% now)
It's pretty good quality for now and my filaments isn't ever dry properly (last time I dried it was some days ago and today is rainy day but whatever. the pieces are pretty small, I'll dry it when I print the edges)

fantastic job man. such a fun project. It looks like the creator has edited the pieces since i printed them. those corners look way different. Good luck!

thanks man

I want to ask: where did you get the springs, screws and core?

You printed the core or used a existing one? And for springs and screws, where you got them?

Interesting thing here. Those are great questions, all of which I asked myself.
The core, spring and screws are from a qiyi warrior, however unless changes have been made, the puzzle is made to accept conical springs like in a valk or thunderclap. I had to redesign center pieces for normal springs. I’ll try to find the file if I still have it, if not, it’s pretty straightforward if you know some CAD

I feel like you are the type of guy who enjoys making descriptive essays
As someone focused solely on earning a high grade, a descriptive essay is less about art and more about execution of a rubric. The goal is to hit the required structural and stylistic benchmarks with precision. Then I go to college and start writing like an absolute Hill-Billy.

I hope nothing go wrong.
I'll check again in 5 hours

EDIT: (less than 1 hour later) had to abort print already :D
tomorrow I'll try again. I will try not to forgot drying the filament (I forgot today) and saving the bed meshes and calibration configs

geez It must be very humid where you are. my old filament has begun to collect moisture, but overall this isn't a hug problem for me. if your weather is humid i reccomend makign a dry box for 20 dollars. you can buy Dessicant and airtight storage bin. buy dessicant that changes color when it has expired.

I have a creality filament dryer box but I keep forgetting to use it
ideally you should let some 4 hours to reduce to under 30% humidity, depending on the print I just skip the dry phase, but this filament is pretty moist, it was the first I bought only for tests. the other ones I keep inside sealed plastic bags.
