Try to use Ortega every once in a while if you see that you can get an easy OLL skip or something easy like that. Learn a few easy TCLLs that can be used for OLL skips for Ortega ( (R' F R F')2, (R U' R' U)2, (R' U' R U)2 and their inverses). Since none of these effect permutation, this makes predicting PBL or PLL easy and make it easy to one-look those solves.

Make sure to drill your CLLs too because your TPS could be higher on those too. And try to predict your AUF all the time, if you don't already (some solves it isn't too clear). Maybe learn some EG too? This isn't necessary really though (I use CLL + just one set of EG-1 and average 2.3 :)) Hope this helps!

Your biggest problem is not one looking
I've never exactly understood how to one-look without taking several minutes of inspection time.

I forgot the Ortega PBLs. Maybe I should learn them just for the sake of learning EG1 anyway (which I tried to do in January).

Some of my CLL algs aren't great, and my recognition could use improvement. I'm not sure whether or not I need higher TPS in general or better algs in order to cut off half a second.

I think your tps could be better, especially on algs. Another thing you can do is learn Auf to stop pauses at the end. Also try to use more inspection, even if you can't predict the exact CLL you might be able to see the oll and be ready for it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! By the way, I just got a 3.50 ao50, which is close to my PB.

For 3-move layers, I can usually predict the OLL, but my tracking skills aren't too great, which may also be what's holding me back from sub 11 on 3x3.
