Good day,

I recently got a 2x2 and I've been looking around to select the method that fits me and my needs the most. I wanna be able to get goods solves, without being sub 3.... From what I saw, CCL is pretty good, but requires a lot of algo and the recognition may take a long time. I also read about Ortega and Guimond, Ortega seams easier to learn, recognition is easier and times are slightly higher.

So my Questions would be: Should I only learn Ortega or learn Ortega+Guimond because they are good complement? Also, would only learning CLL be more efficient/easier than Ortega+Guimond? Finally, Andy Klise made good PDF for these 3 methods, but are they relatively good algs or I should consider another source? (http://www.kungfoomanchu.com/home.html#222)

On a last note, I am currently using CFOP( average of low 20) and I am now trying to pratice Roux...but didnt work on CMLL yet.

Thanks,

Just had a quick scan of a CLL page: there are about 15 algs to learn that aren't either standard 3x3 algs, or just sune/sune or sune/niklas combinations. I'm regarding inverses/mirrors as the same. It's really easy to learn - just recognition is a little difficult at first.

Andy Klise's guide for CLL is awesome. You can choose between 2 or 3 algs for each case. I learnt CLL with that pdf very easily.

Okk thanks, so I will have a good look at CLL, my last question would be: How does color neutrality work on the 2x2x2. Is it a must, is only yellow/white Ok or theres no need to learn more than 1 color(using Cll....or the other 2 methods mentionned earlier...).

Thanks,

think you should be at least sub-8 with lbl to try cll. think cll is only really useful if you can solve the first layer in under 2 seconds. Guimond is really hard to learn and be good at (in my opinion.)
