Hi, i have been practicing Ortega`s method for 2x2 cube. I dropped my times to 10:xx or 11:xx average, but i`m kinda stuck in this times. Any advice?, i´m preparing for my second official competition Santiago Winter 2009.

Watch in HD, better sound and image.

hola!
I recommend you to be color neutral (I see you most of the time start with green). With Ortega you can be color neutral and get great times, because 90% of the time there are to pieces of the same color together. I also recommend that during preinspection you watch if in your first layer there will be no colors together, two together or all of them (corona, una barra, ninguna barra). This will make the recognition for the ortega case easier.
Another advice is to change algorithms, because (at least for me) using D moves on the 2x2 is very uncomfortable.
This is a very good tutorial (in spanish):

Saludos!

Gracias luisgepeto!! i will try to change the algorithms because, as you say, the D and B moves are very uncomfortable. Currently i´m color neutral for 2x2, in inspection time i search for the color wich is more easy to complete but i dont look much for "corona, una barra o ninguna barra". I will try this tips. Once again thank you very much.

Saludos cordiales.
