The noise is not a big deal because you can't hear anything in particular. From where I was, it just sounded like a continuous low roar.

It's in the middle of the museum, and anyone, including museum goers, can walk through the competition area. We decided not to quiet the crowd as anyone who is a non cuber would become a significant distraction.
