Finally beat my best filmed avg12, although I haven't really tried much since the 15.65 I got months back.

^If you can't process the 'HD' well enough then this is better than watching low quality on a large screen. The annotations are too small though.

The average forum user might not be all that interested in watching a ~15.5 second avg12 when there's Rowe and Feliks doing these sub-10 averages, but maybe some annotations between solves could help out?

There's music so just mute if... if you don't wanna hear it. ;_;

How to make it look so easy?!

Practice, practice, practice.

-2gen or RU solving (scramble only 2 sides, solve using only those 2 sides) to help turning speed.
-Practice your algorithms to get faster at them.
-Work on finger tricks, watching fast cubers could help.
-Do slow (not constant or timed) solves and experiment with your F2L, watch badmephisto's videos on YouTube.
-Do slow turning (constant and timed, like in this video but maybe a litle slower)solves and try to search for the next F2L pair while solving one. Go slow enough to be comfortable with 'looking ahead' to the next pair and gradually speed up until you're good enough to look ahead at full speed.
-Clean your cube, adjust the tension, and lubricate it all to your likings for the cube, search around for videos and threads about those things.

Practice, practice, practice.

Alt. Response: Study Yu Nakajima's cubing, chat with Feliks Zemdegs, befreind Anthony Brooks, David Wonder > Woner, pay attention to Rowe Hessler's solves, all of which are easy except for this one: be black.

EDIT: lolMorten

This just goes to show that "slower turning" is entirely a relative judgment thing. Your turning looks blindingly fast to me. Even if I memorized a solve and practiced it a hundred times, I couldn't possibly turn as fast as what you're doing in this video.

Which is why I think I still need to keep working primarily on turning faster (which is what I've been working on for the past few weeks, with some real success). Lookahead is not my biggest problem - turning speed is.

Nice video, though - I was just thinking I'd like to watch a video of someone about 10 seconds better than me, and yours came along just at the right time. Thanks!

Good job!

-Clean your cub.
Clean that cub!

Works for me

UMG blocks a lot of stuff in Germany. I think I have 3 or 4 vids that are only blocked in Germany. Not sure why, but that's the way it is.

Yeah I usually turn slower than this for slow turning, but I was doing good and the camera was on (a rare combination for me lol), so I was going a little faster.
You're welcome. :D

I was gonna play the songs on my from my laptop but YouTube kept periodically stopping during playback.
I have a solution to that to prevent this from happening so in the future...

Germany can watch the cubing. You have to think internationally in cubing or things just won't go well. :o
