[Official] 14.89 Rubik's Cube Ao5 - Toronto Spring Open

Damn that was some really chill turning. Also to the poster above, I'm sub you could be sub 13 using Roux with that TPS, his solves had several pauses and probably isn't as efficient as he can get. Turning faster during CMLL and LSE would be a good idea though.

While practicing for this round, most of the solves were 13 or lower and I was pausing less and turning faster during steps 3, and 4. So I definitely would agree. I don't know what it was, but as soon as I picked up the cube I felt like it was going to explode at the slightest movement.

Nice solves! ROOOOOUX!

You do the index finger pull on M slice too. I'm trying to break that habit, but it feels so awkward to use the ring finger DB to UB push. I kind of have to yank down on the left side of the cube because my ring finger just doesn't want to move that way, so it just anchors the mid layer while my left hand drives downward forcing the mid slice up.

hunh, ive never actually heard of people doing Ms like that. i dont see why pulling with the index finger would be bad.
but if you dont like it, an alternative to pulling the M slice down with your index finger is using your ring finger to flick DF to DB. i would use my left ring finger to do this because i only do U2 double flick with my right hand, and i do M2 with my left ring finger followed by my right pinky. the key to good finger tricking is finding tricks that will always work well together (something which i, unfortunately, have yet to master).
