2nd time winning the an event! Chris gave me a good scare when he got a counting 13 right before I did my last solve, but the Canadian prevailed. :cool:

I was very happy with these two solves. Too bad I couldn't finish the average strong. The 7.49 was just safe (not a +2). The 7.93 had a PLL skip.

UWR by only .2 seconds. Solves done by Antoine Cantin and Jon Esparaz. We got this on our 4th or 5th attempt. This could have been a lot better without my awful 4x4 solve, but thankfully our 5x5 and square-1 solves were fast, so we still got UWR.

Very happy to come 3rd in my first Canadian Open finals! The 7.84 is official PB. Beat Antoine by <0.01, sorry... Also, the 7.84 is the first 7.xx ever in the finals of a Canadian Open! Lots of silly mistakes, hopefully I can get 1st or 2nd next Canadian Open.

This idea crossed my mind as Kevin Hays announced his retirement to be coming at the end of the year. I think it would be a great idea to have a Hall of Fame for retired cubers so they can be known and remembered by future generations of cubers. Cubers would have to be: -Retired, not competed...

That ending :( it could have been a 31.3x... Also, I was really ticked off during the reaction, but most of the crowd was thought I was excited. Regardless it was still a good solve.

Finally sub-40! I'm very pleased with this average.
